The hamlet is one of the oldest in the area: it had an important development in the 1700s and 1800s thanks to some emigrants (mainly Sardinians) who built new residences. The locality, which is part of the “Via del Pane” (Bread Route), has a fine oven that is still functioning, an old fractional chapel and a small oratory built in 1700. Along the ford of the stream, there was also a fine mill serving the area.
